My First Reiki Share

On February 16th, I participated in my first Reiki Share. I traveled to Lewiston to the Patrick Dempsey Cancer Center Hope and Healing.


I am reading a book right now, called Reiki Nurse, by Meredith Kendell. She is a Nurse, Master's prepared, and Reiki Master. I commented on her blog, amethysthealth.com.


She wrote back to me and invited me to this Reiki Share. This is what I experienced.

There was 12 of us at the Reiki Share. I felt like I had been there before and that I felt like I knew everyone. Though I had never met any one of them before. I connected with three women there. Charlotte, Jeanne and Jean. They are all Reiki Masters. The energy was so strong and static. Oh, it was so relaxing. Words can not describe it.

We went around the room, which was full of books, and spoke about what we had used Reiki on in the previous month. We broke up into groups of 4. We performed treatments on each other. The power of our minds and the energy pulsating out of our hands. Breathless.

While I was having my treatment, sitting in a comfortable chair, one of the ladies asked if she could put her hands on my upper chest or over my Heart Chakra. I said that it would be ok. I immediately felt so overwhelmed with healing energy, white energy that I started crying. If you read Meredith's blog that I posted on Facebook for the Reiki Share, I am the one that she talks about crying in the other room. And Jean got the tissue for me.

The power was ELECTRIC. I can't wait for the next Share. I would like to have my own Reiki Share but I think that I have to become a Master first. I will find out. I would like to become a Master so that I can share this wonderful healing technique with my daughter, Abby and anyone who wants to learn to take their own health into their hands.

Reiki embraced me while I was sick and I embraced it back. Karen B. Thank you so much for opening my eyes, my energy and my Spirituality. I trust the Lord and he will take care of me.

New Journey

My last radiation treatment was last Wednesday. February 15th. I am so relieved and so isn't my family. I have had a long journey and glad it is over!!!

Shooting For A Cure

There is a  very special girl at Well's High School. Her mom is a Breast Cancer Survivor and Shooting for a Cure is a very special fundraiser for her. I thank Judy Moody for letting me  talk to all the girls involved with Shooting for a Cure.

I talked about Breast Cancer prevention, #1 above all else is monthly Breast Exams.

I also made Bracelets for each and every one of the girls that participated in this Fundraiser. I really would love to do it again next year. I might even do something with my daughter's school. A sleep-a-thon to raise money for the Lafayette cancer center. Money for gas cards for men and women receiving chemotherapy or radiation. We were given a gas card for $100 from the people that I work with. It really helped. I only travel about 40 miles, but there are women receiving radiation that come from Millinocket (?sp), Fort Kent, Machias. With the way gas prices are, gas cards are a great gift.

I want to thank the Well's High School and Middle School Coaches for allowing me  to speak. I would love to do this next year. It needs to be a community wide program.

Today i spoke to a groip of girls at Wells HS. About breast cancer. 5th-8th and Varsity and JV. I made a bracelet for each and every one of them. They were all wearing pink. I can not wait for next year. Will start making them.

I have my first batch of tumbled stones.  My Mother got me a Stone Tumbler for Christmas. I will attach a few of the ones I have pictured so far. I have more plus small crystals that have broken off.

 I hope everyone had a very Happy New Year. We were home with a sick child. He seems to be a bit better, actually sleeping in his own crib!!

I will continually update this blog.

I have some new ventures for 2012. You will have to wait to see. A lot of changes coming. I have had some changes of heart, for the better. A new outlook on healing and soul. Health and Healing. Reiki and our medicine. hand in hand. Love and Loving yourself.
